Bax Sonata (no.1) in E for clarinet and piano

Apparently, Arnold Bax wrote an early clarinet sonata. It does not seem to have ever been published, if WorldCat is accurate.

Does anyone know about it or where the manuscript might be?

Hrm. Parlett's catalogue (online version, at Davidparlett.co.uk/bax) doesn't mention it, anyway - so it's not that apparent.

Naxos has recorded it, along with the more famous sonata, and the trio in one movement from 1906 for violin, clarinet, piano

From Naxos' notes, on their website: "Recently Alder's nephew Tony (J.A.) Dutton, when searching through a dusty pile of manuscript compositions by his uncle, discovered several manuscripts of previously unknown early works by Bax." - "recently" - Parlett's site is basically a digital copy, I think, compressed and summarized, of (his father?) Grahame Parlett's book, and has not to my knowledge been updated with more recent discoveries. Sorry about that mistake on my part. And that tells one where the manuscript was, at least, if not is.
