I notice there are band parts for one version of Orpheus in the Underworld, Offenbach and one full score of the overture.
This overture, whilst obviously orchestrated with care, is not anything like Offenbach's original - what was the score based on and if it's an arrangement (that is not Offenbach's orchestration) then could that be mentioned somewhere on the file.
The large majority of Offenbach's scores were very vaudeville style orchestras: 2 flutes, 1 oboe, 2 clarinets, 1 bassoon; 2 each horns, cornets, trombones; 1 percussionist, strings.

Re: Orpheus aux Enfer - overture???
The overture used at the Vienna performance - which became very popular - was arranged from Offenbach material by Carl Binder. I thought we had a separate page for that with a cross-reference link on the page for the operetta.
