I brought this up before: http://imslp.org/wiki/Talk:Emil_Von_Sau ... _Peters%29
I suspect that the entries on this, Piano Concerto No.1:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Concerto_No ... C_Franz%29
Piano Concerto No.2:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Concerto_No ... C_Franz%29
and Totentanz:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Totentanz%2C_S.65 ... C_Franz%29
aren't arranged by the composer, since this 2-piano arrangement of Piano Concerto No.1 published by EMB (sample from the score http://www.emb.hu/kotta.php?id=3318) is quite different from the one we have from Emil von Sauer. Besides the one on Totentanz isn't even in the style of Liszt's.
There have been other 2-piano arrangments published in the Emil von Sauer's volume which Liszt's didn't even consider arranging. Particulary Fantasy on Hungarian Folk Themes:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Fantasy_on_Hungar ... C_Franz%29
and "Weber's Polonaise brillante Op.72". I don't know the status on Wandererfantasie, Op.15:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Wanderer_Fantasy% ... C_Franz%29
but I suspect that this is the only one from this volume that is by Liszt (I'm currently uninstalling Adobe Acrobat so I can't comfirm this but I think that there is no "Orginal stimme" remark under the piano part).
Please say that I am completely wrong and that all of these are arranged by Liszt!
Emil von Sauer; 2-pianos by him or Liszt?
