Schumann for cello

Post by cicciobomboman »

Hello! :D
I hope I'm writing in the right forum for asking if someone has the scores of Schumann's Adagio und Allegro Op.70 (transcribed from horn original version) and Fünf Stücke im Volkston Op.102 for cello... Does anyone have them??
Thanks a lot!

The other piece was first published by Friedrich Kistner
in Leipzig in July 1849 as Adagio and Allegro for piano and horn,
with options for ‘violoncello or violin ad libitum’. Ideally
written for the horn (Schumann was fascinated by the technical
possibilities of the fairly recently-introduced valve
horn), the piece also lies well on the cello. It’s rarely played on
the violin, however, and probably the stringed versions were only
recommended as a means of increasing the work’s sales. However,
interestingly, the first public performance in 1850 was of the violin
version.

As of yet I have not found an old enough version to post :(
Still looking....
