Dear IMSLP Administrators and Community, and especially IMSLP bureaucrats,
I am writing to inquire about contributing a significant collection of newly created urtext editions of baroque arias, overtures and complete operas, which includes works by both well-known and lesser-known composers, under the name of Music Edition Baroque Opera (baroque-opera.com).
This collection comprises almost 600 meticulously prepared scores, and I would like to make them freely available to the IMSLP community. I am reaching out to seek guidance on the most efficient manner to upload such a large number of files while ensuring compliance with IMSLP's standards and requirements. I already started uploading the scores, one by one, following the established guidelines. A colleague of mine is willing to help me with the upload, but I wonder if we could (or should) add my "project" to the list of new projects on IMSLP?
Additionally, if IMSLP would welcome this contribution to its vast repository of public-domain music, I would like to inquire if there are any special protocols or acknowledgments for such large-scale contributions.
I would appreciate any advice on how best to proceed, including specific steps, preferred formats, or batch upload options. Please let me know if I should reach out to someone directly or if there are established guidelines for large-scale contributions.
Thank you for your time and for maintaining such a vital resource for musicians and researchers worldwide.
Best regards,
Dragan Karolic (Music Edition Baroque Opera, baroque-opera.com)
