I search for Strauss' Arabella, vocal or orchestra score.
Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance

Hal leonard sells a Boosey & Hawkes score in book format. It $75.95 (in the US). Here is the link:

http://www.halleonard.com/product/viewp ... bsiteid=27&

Not sure about the quality, though. If the score (in some Canadian PD edition) were uploaded to the site, it couldn't be viewed, due to US and EU copyright laws, though. So you'll have to buy it.

That score is indeed public domain in Canada, but as BKhon mentioned, if uploaded it would be blocked.

If this is the study score I have (price sounds about right) then the quality is fine. The piece is not as heavily scored as, say, Die Frau ohne Schatten, so the page isn't illegibly crowded. I got my copy used from a European bookstore through www.zvab.de.

Anyone know when scans of this score will be available online in the US copyright-wise?

Thanks.

They may be online, but you won't have access to them.

Thanks for your reply.

My question is not about whether they're online but when they will be public domain and available for use in the US, on this site for example. It's more complicated than 75 years after the original copyright date, so I'm asking if someone knows the status of when it'll be available in the US like his other scores available here. "Capriccio" while unavailable has its own page with some info but "Arabella" does not.

Am I misunderstanding your response? Can you elaborate on my not being able to see them? Are you just referring to copyright?

Sorry, I must have misunderstood your question myself. The earliest publication date of this piece was 1933 which means it will not enter the public domain in the United States until 2029.
