Marcello, Oboe Concerto in D minor

Post by steltz »

IMSLP has a page for this, which only has an arrangement on it. Does anyone have a public domain score, or score and parts for this work?

I don't believe any copy exists in the public domain.

Daphnis is of cause correct for the modern D minor version (published first 1948 by Zanibon, edited by Ettore Bonelli (1900–1986)
but the original print should be public domain, maybe you can ask SLUB Dresden to scan their copy? Sign: Mus 1/O/1
"Concerti a cinque" con violini, oboe, violetta, violoncello e basso continuo, del Signori G. Valentini, A. Vivaldi, T. Albinoni, F. M. Veracini, G. St Martin, A. Marcello, G. Rampin, A. Predieri. Libro Primo <Secondo>. [Parts.] Amsterdam, Chez Jeanne Roger (1714), plate 432, 433

This was first republished/edited by Richard Lauschmann (1889-1982) in c minor and attributed to Benedetto Marcello, string parts, and cembalo part with oboe solo (no complete score). My set is ©1924 R. Forberg, and this should be protected for a long time (2052 in the EU)
Now this has been reprinted repeatedly by Belwin Mills, Colombo, International & Southern, so US copyright has lapsed??
