Florent Schmitt

Post by Mookie »

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for scores and parts for Florent Schmitt works. Daphnis has been spectacular about uploading many, many, many of these scores, but I am looking for a couple of works for winds:

Fanfare du camp de Pompée, Hymne funèbre, Marche du 163e régiment d'infanterie

Can anyone help?

I'll certainly take another look, but as I remember when tracking down his works, anything not present on the site I simply couldn't find. Many of his works are very rare and only exist in a few places.

Hey Daphnis,

It turns out the camp du Pomée is actually a fanfare for brass and percussion that is part of the Anthony and Cleopatre Suite No. 1 (movement 2). The Hymn Funebre was completed in 1899, but is apparently unpublished. The Orchestre d'harmonie de la Région Centre recorded the work rather recently, so I know there are parts somewhere...
