Henri Brod Oboe Music

Dear All,

I am in desperate need of finding any music for oboe and piano by composer Henri Brod. I am hoping to get my hands on Op. 57- the Fantasy on the "Mad Scene" from "Lucia di Lammermoor." I saw one user (Homerdundas) had tried to upload that piece, but for some reason, I am unable to download the file. So, if anyone can help me, or is willing to e-mail me a copy, please reply to this thread!

The reason you were unable to download this is that it's not public domain in Canada or anywhere else (it actually should be removed). The problem with Brod's music, which is the same afflicting most oboe solo music, is that most wasn't published until recently and even then with editors, so most isn't fit to host here on IMSLP.

I don't have a PD copy of the op. 57, but just downloaded op. 16 - maybe you like that.

Regarding the op. 57:
If you search the Italian Union Catalogue http://www.internetculturale.it/moduli/opac/opac.jsp
choose Ricerche tematiche ... dropdown "Musica"
Then search for Titolo "Spargi" and Nome "Brod",
and you find the three libraries that have the 1840s original.

I have had very pleasant experience in the past with the Milan conservatory, they send you decent copies for not that much money...
