Scott Joplin and Ernesto Lecuona

Post by pianistenthusiast »

There's absolutely no music at all for these two composers at all!! I'm not sure if we can put very much on the internet on wiki because they are late composers, but they did live still and write before the 1930's, so I will research the copyright of their music, but you should too!!

Dunno what you're talking about with Jopin -- most of his piano music is on IMSLP (songs are missing though) http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Joplin%2C_Scott

Lecuona, though, won't be PD in Canada for another 4 years -- and I'd wager he has very little if any PD stuff in the US anyway.

At least one of Joplin's songs is posted ("Please Say You Will", I think), as well as his opera Treemonisha.

This reminds me: I should scan the other songs and post them.

Hey, leave me a message when you're done - those would make for great featured scores.

Also, along with Charles Dennee, I'd also like to to see more than just "the butterfly" on wikipedia, but he's, along with Lecuona pretty recent, so there might not be anything to do with that. And speaking of which, how do I post sheet music onto imslp?
