Dvorak Tone Poems & Other Orchestral Works

Post by sbeckmesser »

The original editions of Dvorak's four Erben tone-poems (The Water Goblin, Op.107, The Noonday Witch Op.108, The Golden Spinning Wheel, Op.109, The Wild Dove, Op.110) are all public domain. Even the preferable Czech Artia/Supraphon critical-edition scores might be PD. Its surprising only to find orchestral parts for these stunningly well orchestrated pieces here. While we're at it, Dvorak's Symphonic Variations Op.78 and two of the "Nature, Life and Love" overtures (In Natures Realm Op.91 and Othello Op. 93) should likewise be represented by full scores.

Yes, they are indeed public domain - even the Supraphon editions (all reprinted by Kalmus). Nobody is preventing you from uploading them. We would absolutely welcome their addition to the archive.
