Copyright _ A Space Odyssey 2001
Hi. I am producing a 2-minute video of an even in my company to be shared with employees. I would like to use the theme from A Space Odyssey 2001 (Zarathustra) but am not sure if there are copyright issues and if so how I go about finding out who to pay and how much. I am working in a multi-national company so the video will be shared will all employees globally. Can someone please help with relevant info? Thanks.

It is by Richard strauss. Not PD in the EU, but elsewhere is fine. You can find it on IMSLP by searching Richard Strauss (Also Sprach Zarathustra)

I assume you need a sound recording, rather than the score?

Your best bet will be fair-use probably. What %/time constitutes fair-use in this day and age?
