According to the IMLSP all R. Strauss scores are in the public domain in the life+50 countries. This piece was written nearly 65 years ago and Strauss died some 5 years later; what is holding up its copyright verification?? Can I please put in a speed request for this composition?? Or will I have to wait 5 more years??
Thanks Daphnis, for posting this and so many other scores! I will have to write you an oboe piece sometime as a thank-you gesture! Send me a mail via imslp!

Re: Strauss Metamorphosen
We're sorry about the error message; there is no error. In the U.S., where IMSLP gets most of it's traffic, this piece will not be PD until 2042. We choose to obey US copyright laws, simply for the above-stated fact. Sorry! You can, however, buy the score from the links on the page.

That said, we have it uploaded to IMSLP because we are still aiming to eventually have it downloadable one way or another.
