The secret archives of the Library of Congress

Post by coulonnus »

Here I have a copy of https://books.google.fr/books?id=ddBa-e ... &q&f=false but it is too edited to qualify for an imslp upload. Page x of the introduction says Levy Johnson Davis donated the autograph manuscript to the Library of Congress in 1904

I can't seem to find a scan of this manuscript or at least a catalogue entry on the various LC sites I know http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Universities_and_Libraries. Is anybody aware of hidden LC archives?

The problem is that the online catalog reflects only a fraction of the LOC's entire collection. See: About the LC Online Catalog. According to the scope section: "Library of Congress collections contain over 162 million books, periodicals, manuscripts, maps, music, recordings, images, and electronic resources. The LC Online Catalog contains 17 million records describing these collections."

Thanks. I found the manuscript typing directly ML96 R28. Then my second question is: can I suggest the LC to scan it and add it to one of their digitized collections?
