Hello,
First, thank you for this great resource and offering access to such a wealth of scores.
I would greatly appreciate an Orchestral Score for Verdi's opera, Macbeth -- either individual parts or the full instrumental score.
(Currently, there are only vocal scores posted for Macbeth.)
Thank you! I play flute & piccolo and am needing to strengthen my knowledge of opera orchestral music.
Best,
Jennifer

Re: Verdi - MACBETH - Orchestral Score
Since you play flute, check out Donizetti, Lucia di Lammermoor, especially the Mad Scene!! We don't have a full score of that either, but check out a recording.

Make sure you check out the Magic Fire Music from the last scene of Wagner's Die Walküre. LOTS of stuff for flute and piccolo. The hard stuff starts on p.85 ofarchiepepper wrote: I play flute & piccolo and am needing to strengthen my knowledge of opera orchestral music.

Also look into the last scene of Wagner's Götterdämmerung. Starting at page 174 to the end of:

PS: You of course have already checked out the flute solos in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (Magic Flute), haven't you? There's hardly anything in the flute/piccolo operatic repertory more exposed or plot-critical than these passages (with the possible exception of the mad scene from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor). The Mozart is available at IMSLP but for a full score of Lucia you'll need either the Dover reprint or the relatively inexpensive Ricordi full score (I believe they use the same plates).
