Greetings all! Does anyone have any of the 4 cantatas by Berlioz in full score?... La mort d’Orphée (1827), Herminie (1828), Cléopâtre (1829), or Sardanapale (1830)? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :D

I know it's not much, but I can offer anyone $15 to upload or email me the full score of one of these cantatas. I need it for a class presentation coming up soon and have had a heck of a time locating a score of any of Berlioz's cantatas. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Which one do you need? I'll do my best to get it up, if I have it on hand, either this week or mid next week sometime.

Cléopâtre would perhaps be the most useful to have at first, considering there are the orchestral parts for it already uploaded as part of the OM project; on the other hand, any/all of them have some significance (greater or lesser) for Berlioz's other works (parts of Orphée went into Lélio; the idée fixe of the Symphony fantastique first appears as a melody in one of the arias in Herminie, and the Hymne went into Irlande; the Méditation from Cléopâtre went into Lélio as the Chœur des ombres; and the conflagration from Sardanapale is a fore-runner to similar passages in Roméo et Juliette and Troyens).

Regards, PML

Hi! I was hoping to get Herminie, but alas, my presentation is on Monday next week, so I'm really strapped for time. You would be a lifesaver if you could post even just a couple of movements (including the one with the idee fixe from Symphonie Fantastique) in the next couple of days (if you have it, of course). Thanks tons! :D
