Hallo, my fellow music-lovers!

I was wondering if any of you knew where I could get all (or almost all) of the great 'Red Priest' concertos, preferably in PDF format. I know it's quite a request but I've wanted to get my hands on those for a long, long time.. I've already got the full Op.8 and Op.3 and the eight concerto from the Op.4 but as you can see I'm still missing 'just a few ones' ^^

This has been asked before. Noone's given an answer, but my own theory is that they aren't PD as most of the pieces without opus were lost and weren't discovered -- and thus published -- until the 1930s (I think it was).
A real shame too.

As far as I can gather, quite a few are recent publications that are not PD because of the editors involved, e.g. Malipiero who died in 1973. If he personally realized a bass line, this is covered by whatever term of copyright protection there is in Italy.

For these concerti, a lot of digging would be involved to find, copy and release a scan of the original manuscript, if the library or collection involved would even allow you to do so, and such a manuscript would inevitably have an unrealized bass line, which isn't a problem if you can play from that.

(On the other hand, what a lovely research project . . . with time spent in Italy . . . . . )

By the way, Kleinigkeiten, is your quote at the bottom of your posts deliberately misspelled? Rossini "swept"? and a "truffed" turkey?

Oooooh, I'd love to publish some Vivaldi....

Oh, dear, that is truly bad news...so basically, it's going to be practically impossible to get my hands on them all. Damn.

SLUB Dresden has quite a number of Vivaldi manuscripts, if anybody has the time and inclination to import them here.
