I would really like to play Satie's 4 Preludes flasques

Anybody with the username "DrunkenFrenchman" has a glittering career ahead of them as a natural born interpreter of Satie's works.

There are subtleties and nuances in Satie's work which can undoubtedly only be fully appreciated when the brain cells are immersed in a certain concentration of alcohol.

With Vexations and the other posthumous works, when would they become public domain in the US?

If first published before 1978, 95 years from date of publication. If first published 1978-2002, under copyright until 1/1/2049. Nothing published 2003 or later is protected in USA unless there is a claim on editor's work. All unpublished Satie works entered US public domain on 1/1/2003.
