General Informations of a work

Post by coulon »

The General Information of a work is not very clear !

I use an exemple : String Quartet No.14, D.810 (Schubert, Franz)
who is at the bottom of this URL :
http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Schubert%2C_Franz&from=S

We find here the quartet score but also the piano transcription and also the four hands transcription
but at the bottom of this page, the General Information said just "Instrumentation : 2 violin, 1 viola, 1 cello"

What is the solution ?
1 - it should be necessary to create 3 pages of this work ?
2 - it should be necessary to have one General Information for each file ?

Under "Instrumentation" I have always put the primary ("original") instrumentation, sometimes with an added note (e.g., "also arr. for piano/4-hands" or "No. 2 also orchestrated," etc.
