Iwan Müller, 30 studies in all keys for clarinet

Post by steltz »

Does anyone have a PD copy of this to scan and upload? The current Ricordi offering, edited by Giampieri, is off limits, and so is the IMC edition by Eric Simon. However, there was an earlier (original?) Ricordi publication with no date on it, as well as a Boosey & Hawkes 1911 edition edited by George Clinton (d.1913).

They might also be in Müller's 1825 Nouvelle Methode, but I'm not sure there are many copies of that still floating around.

There is also Kietzer's 189? Der Fortschritt im Klarinettenspiel, op. 91 : melodische und technische Uebungen für Klarinette mit Benutzung einiger Etuden von F. Müller und H. Bärmann. This was in 3 volumes, though, and I'm not sure which had the Müller etudes, apart from the fact that it's probably as rare as the Kietzer.

The clarinet part of Muller's Le Rêve. (Episode romantique p. Clarinette av. Acc. de Pfte. Op. 73 . Mainz, Schott 1845.) was printed in Langey's Tutor in the 1960s. Could someone scan that in too?

At the moment the clarinet specialist composers like Barmann, Muller, Blatt and Berr are rather under-represented on IMSLP.

Hi stelz!

Take at look at this starting at page 42 of his Anweisung zu der neuen Clarinette und der Clarinette-Alto, Op.24 and let me know if this is it. If so, I'll download it and convert it to black and white.

Reason: 22 etudes was by Johann muller and is already on imslp
