La Traviata (for piano solo)

Post by jfmurray3 »

I am looking for a transcription of La Traviata for piano solo.
There's a lovely edition of Simon Boccanegra for piano solo, which has been so much fun to read through and study.
Any other Verdi operas with piano solo transcriptions?
Many thanks in advance.

I think Ricordi issued piano transcriptions of all of Verdi's operas, which should be public domain (at least the vast majority). It's simply a matter of someone finding a copy, scanning it and uploading it to the site, or finding a scanned copy (not a new typeset, unless they do it themselves) online and uploading.

We have already digitized a piano score of this (pub. by Schott's). You can find it here: http://hdl.handle.net/1802/12096.

Thanks JFarrington,
That is a good start -- it is the Act 1 and 3 preludes.
I'll keep my eyes open for the complete opera for piano solo.
Any other leads would be appreciated -
Thanks -
Joe
