Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
someone with access to the Newberry Library might be able to do this...
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
Yes, anyone with access to the library Newberry? Please help with this scores!
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
I'd be surprised if this ever came through. Newberry are tough nuts when it comes to their collection.
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
Maybe there are other sources to take these score?
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
Your best bet is to buy the new edition (1999) by Volker Tosta and published by Edition Nordstern.
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
Would you please could not ask for scores in this published or in Newberry Library? I would be very grateful.
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
I did not understand your last reply.
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
I say, сould you please ask them for this score? I would be very grateful.
Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
I won't be asking them for this score, but someone else is welcome to do so. The chances are slim to none that they'll oblige.

Re: Joachim Raff violin concerto №2 op.206
NY Public Library @ Lincoln Center (research, not branch) has both the Stuttgart Edition Nordstern score of this work and, I think (not in their online catalog, but so much of their inventory is still only in their print catalog nota bene, just as with the Boston Public Library alas!) hrm. I think also the first edition or an early one; I viewed this score onsite- I think it was the 2nd concerto, not the first. Vague memory suggests the key was right, and it was before the rediscovery of the original of the 1st. But that's the full score, sans part, not the piano reduction, of the A minor concerto, and NYPL - maybe all of it but esp. this section- doesn't allow much photocopying on site (I forget what they allow by way of borrowing from the research library...)
So that's probably not much help... not sure what else I have at the moment.
