Bartok Miraculous Mandarin
I was stunned to not see this piece not on this website, so can anyone upload it?
Re: Bartok Miraculous Mandarin
Looks like it was published in 1926, at least, so it wouldn't be PD in the US, and thus you couldn't DL it anyway.
Re: Bartok Miraculous Mandarin
Same deal with Bluebeard's Castle, I think- published 1925 (?). It's really a shame they were censored for so long...

Re: Bartok Miraculous Mandarin
There is a newish (ca.1999 )mini-score from Philharmonia Universal Edition (PH 440) for the Mandarin that differs considerably from the earlier Philharmonia score. It is a re-engraved critical edition edited by the composer's son and contains several passages completely absent(!) from previous editions. It is beautifully printed and I highly recommend it, despite its cost (around US$45 when I bought my copy in 2006). It won't go PD for some time.

The vocal score to Bluebeard's Castle was reprinted by Dover, thus public domain in the US (and Canada).
Re: Bartok Miraculous Mandarin
Wow, I had no idea. Is it a legitimate (meaning post-1998) reprint? And does this mean that the full score was published earlier as well?

Yes, no.

It still wouldn't hurt to upload it, just block it for a while.
