Feat: automatic notices to users/members of added scores

I don't know whether this has been asked about yet, so please excuse the duplication.
Would there be a way to tweak the system so that users/members can receive a notice via e-mail whenever a new file is uploaded for a composer for whom they have requested such notification? (That request would require a toggle button or something on the composer's page, I guess.)
It wouldn't necessarily have to be a detailed message (just the link to the composer & piece with the IMSLP file # might be enough, then the person can go to the work page). Perhaps it could be sent at maximum once in a 24-hour period, collecting all such notifications for the same user/member together.
This came to mind only because it's not always possible to keep up with the list of recently added scores, and one might miss something unless one remembers to look at one's favorite composers' pages. ("One" being me, for one. )
I can understand if this would add too much business for the system to handle.
