I have been using IMSLP for a few years and every time I enter a new composer I cannot insert the complete birth date. Why? Does not allow me to insert the symbol /, can anyone tell me the procedure?

For me, it doesn't even let me type in numbers; I type out the information in the text field below and then cut/paste, that always works. I suspect that it's trying to filter out characters that don't belong, i.e. anything that isn't either a number or a /, but it does this based on the layout of the standard US keyboard, whereas mine is different.
