[FEAT] This forum: Sort by date, most recent post at top

Post by coulonnus »

Could you please provide this option "Sort by date, most recent at top" at these both levels:

-in the list of forums, i.e. if Copyright Related contains the most recent post it should show up on top of the forum lists.

-in each forum, i.e. if Urheberrecht Claim contains the most recent post it should show up on top of the list of topics of Copyright related.

I couldn't find this option in the FAQ.

Hi,

If you go to your User Control Panel, select Board Preferences and then Edit display options. Here, put Display topic order direction into whichever suits you better.

Well this almost works at the bottom level, except that the topics with the '!' icon
in a light bulb come before the topics with the text-in-circle icon. What do these icons mean?

At the top level, the forum lists ignores the date of the last post, e.g. Scanning and PDF creation is always the fifth forum, and Français-French is always the third of the
International languages forums, regardless of the last-post date.

That is because they are organised categories. Like other forums, they are always static. If you have a suggestion of a better way to arrange the forums, feel free to suggest it!

The '!' threads are either sticky threads or announcement threads (forgotten which) and will always be at the top because of this.
