Commercial links box
Hello admins:
Is it possible to do something about this question, which appears on every work page? Please either remove it or answer it. The person who put it ther must be getting impatient.

Re: Commercial links box
The question was put there because it is one that someone might ask about the commercial link; clicking on it will lead to a page that answers the question. This is common practice in linking to help materials For instance, many websites specifically oriented towards helping users on various topics will title their pages in the form of a question ("How do I do X?").
Re: Commercial links box
It might also help to know that when the link to Amazon started, some people didn't understand why a free site would contain a commercial link, and one or two of them actually didn't particularly like it. But we get a certain amount of commission when people buy from Amazon having clicked on it from our site. It helps pay server costs, so it's a very necessary link, but people need to understand why it's there.

Re: Commercial links box
Maybe Will was concerned about the format of the text (i.e. as a question)? If the question can be rewritten as a sentence instead, please go for it.

Re: Commercial links box
I don’t see how a facile sentence is any better than an obviously rhetorical question, but whatevs.

Hello admins:
Thank you for changing the wording. It now, in my view, is much clearer to the casual user.

Re: Commercial links box
For those without a native grasp of English (and familiarity with its rhetorical devices) the wording is perhaps superior, however viewed in context it is also incorrect. The commercial recordings section usually results in a collection of links to amazon.com, so the sentence really should read: “Learn why these advertising links are here”, referring to the entirety of links under the heading, as well as once again referring to their commercial nature, an observation which has been abolished in the revision.
