Wind Of Change
The world is changing, and many are anxious about it. Most of us prefer what's familiar and are uncomfortable with changes. However, life always pushes us to change, sometimes in extreme ways (just think of the pandemic's impact on the world). But, change ultimately drives progress and growth. Digital technology was not commonplace several decades ago. In fact, at some point, people were reluctant to switch to e-mails, e-books, and online services. But now it is impossible to imagine our lives without them – they have become a must-have 'convenience'! Digital changes are now also affecting education. Today, there is a growing trend of online learning in all areas of education – even music! Not long ago, it was impossible to imagine learning guitar or piano online. Today, we simply accept it as a fact.
SonaticoApp – is a Canadian start-up that aims to make online music lessons a delightful experience for teachers and students. Sonatico is an excellent tailored-to-musicians alternative to Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and other platforms. What's unique - Sonatico is entirely FREE to use. Our team is led by a professional musician with over 25 years of teaching experience who firmly believes that we, musicians, and our students deserve better, customized technology!
With the support of other highly qualified teachers, we developed an application that combines the advantages of online and in-person lessons. At Sonatico, we help bring teachers and students closer together while minimizing digital communication barriers and solving technical problems.
We dramatically improved audio and video quality compared to other online communication platforms. Also, unlike our non-music competitors, at Sonatico, teachers can support lessons with different useful customizable features, such as signals, musical symbols, rhythmic notation, articulations, and dynamics. For convenience, there are also tools such as a built-in keyboard, metronome, whiteboard, tuner, screen sharing, and fingering charts for different instruments. There are also dozens of other extremely useful, exciting features we are working on.
For the safety and security of our students and teachers, we created the ability to broadcast the lesson. So now, parents can feel more comfortable leaving their children with the teacher online since they can watch the class as it happens from anywhere.
