Ussachevsky Piece for Tape Recorder

Page: https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Ussachevsky,_Vladimir
This work is published in 1956 by America Composer Alliance (https://composers.com/composers/vladimi ... e-recorder, https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/008874356, https://www.worldcat.org/title/6692974)
Checked CCE as well: https://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebr ... LES_PAGE=Y
There is only 1 renewal record under Ussachevsky, which is not this work.
I think that this work should be PD-US?

I found a registration here: https://archive.org/details/catalogofco ... ew=theater.

but I found this interesting listing here in 1993 (registered in 1989): https://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebr ... WjoXK4NUx0

which lists over 100 works for "Will and transfer of copyright" and includes the "A Piece for tape recorder"

Strange, since if the work is not renewal, then it falls into PD-US after the 28 year copyright, how come transferring copyright... I'll check the actual record.

As a copyright reviewer, I think your correct that no renewal record exists for the work (I didn't see anything either for a renewal), but having that list there is suspicious that renewal could be under another name, maybe a collection? I don't have the time to look too deeply, maybe Dbmiller can look into this a little more. But it does disclaim its not a legal document.

The tape recorder piece is OK as PD-US not renewed.
