It's a running blog mostly about so-called "juvenile operettas", pieces written for high schools (in the main) from about 1910 to the format's demise in the early 50s. Every now and then, it veers off into slightly stranger works, such as a complete vocal score for a 30s era Vitaphone picture by Romberg), but mostly it deals with composers and lyricists such as Don Wilson, Frederick Johnson, Arthur Penn, and Charles Cadman, a whole roster of now-mostly-unknown creators of works that are by turn delightfully strange and incomprehensibly bizarre.
