Anton STAMITZ: Viola d'amore Concerto in F major

There is some doubt that the piece is not rather a Viola concerto. http://imslp.org/wiki/Viola_d%27amore_C ... ,_Anton%29
Especially because the only edition present (in existence?) is specifically for solo "alto viola" (even with a solo violin variant).
The Deutsche National Bibliothek at http://d-nb.info/996376437 lists the piece as a viola concerto.
Perhaps I am missing something.
