Correction to recent upload

Post by Lyle Neff »

Due to the lack of editing privileges, I have to post this.
On the work-page that I just now created and uploaded a PDF for ( http://imslp.org/wiki/Love_and_the_Ampl ... Lyle_K.%29 ), please change the intrumentation from xylophone to marimba (the latter instrument is indicated in the score). I had inadvertantly indicated the former instrument while uploading. Thanks in advance for the change.

Hello, again,

On the same work-page as above (http://imslp.org/wiki/Love_and_the_Ampl ... Lyle_K.%29), for the complete score that is posted, please change "PDF typeset by composer" to whatever is appropriate for manuscript.

As I tried to explain in the "Misc. notes," the only thing that is "typeset" (besides the title page and CC notice) is the new sung text, which I edited in with photo-editing software; the music is hand-written.

I am editing a new edition of the whole piece in Finale and will submit that as a typeset score.

Thanks.

COULD SOMEONE POSSIBLY CHANGE THE STATUS OF MY RECENTLY UPLOADED SCORE FROM TYPESET TO MANUSCRIPT?

Geeze. I really long for the days when composers could actually edit IMSLP pages for their OWN works.

It's now been changed to a manuscript scan.

You can still do that. Nothing has changed.

I can find no way in which I can edit the work-pages for my own compositions. I click on one of them, and there is no edit-button or edit-link. None. Absolutely NONE.

I can edit my list of compositions.
However, apparently I can't edit my own "user" page or composer-category page.

I'm not sure why this would be. None of the pages in question (composer category, work pages, and user page) have any protection on them that would prevent the pages from being edited. When you are on these pages do you not see links for read, edit, and view history in the upper right corner?

I tried the above link in both Firefox and Chrome (logged in, of course). Those links do not appear.

What options do you see on that page when you're logged in? Are you running a script blocker in Firefox?

As far as I know, no script blocker is being run. I wouldn't even know how to set that on FIrefox or Chrome.

I've attached my screen image of my category page.

Lyle - Is it possible for you to switch to a different skin? That skin is many sorts of broken, and at the moment I'm supporting only the vector and bootstrap skins.

That seems to have worked. Thanks.

One wonders, however, why the other skins are allowed, if they are going to cause problems like this.

The editing facility is absolutely vital. Uploading a score with the correct details can be tricky to get right, especially if one hasn't done so for a while.
Unfortunately, my attempts today to edit the details of my new upload of Mozart's Requiem arr. piano solo failed, because the edit button isn't available.
It's quite frustrating, and makes one nervous about the whole process of uploading generally.
