What in blazes is going on!?

Post by Patientmerit »

Today when I went to my work page to check if anything had been resolved about scores (and synthesized renditions) I have been trying to upload, a work page listing of the latest score I have been trying unsuccessfully to upload (titled "Those Irreplaceable Days..."), had disappeared!! So I now have to complain and beg for help on a score that was, until today, at least listed, even if the score itself would not upload (with no error message to indicate what went wrong).

If it is your policy to discourage living and obscure composers from participating in IMSLP, can you just come out and say so, so I won't waste any more time trying to get things done here!

There have been instances in the past of people creating pages for works that never get used, so pages that remain empty (i.e. without any scores or music files) for more than 48 hours are liable for deletion. In this case four days had elapsed (12 April to 16 April) without any activity, and the page was flagged up automatically in one of our maintenance categories, so I deleted it.

Fortunately the page can be (and has now been) restored to:

While I can understand your frustration, please remember that the site administrators are unpaid volunteers scattered all over the globe who regularly give up their free time to help contribute to this project. I hope you will be more successful in uploading your file next time.
