android app, linux notebook and waydroid

Hi !
My work changed considerably since the adoption of IMSLP app with an Ipad 12. I can't say how greatefull i am not having any longer to travel with tons of paper scores. Such a game changer solution!
Now i was wandering if the same workflow could be achieved without an Ipad. I understand that there is no desktop software, but i finally came across this idea. Installing waydroid (a linux container that allows you to run android apps on a PC) so to have it in a convertible (a 2 in 1 or similar).
I see, it's cumerbsome and wierd, but would be nice for me to keep my distance from apple.
Am I alone in my paranoia? Did somebody tried it or could suggest a better solution? (.... and before you say it, no, a android tablet is not a solution for me, i would like to carry just 1 devices with me and it would be nice if it was a linux one)
tx a lot,
Dama Elenthari
