During the next week or so I'm going to upload a retypeset edition of "Cassazione" by Georg Lickl, for oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. For many years following its "discovery" in 1910, it was reported by Andraud to have been composed by Mozart. However, a member of the KLARINET discussion group reported to me perhaps a decade ago that an autograph by Lickl had been discovered. That didn't end the matter because a couple of members suggested that in the 18th century it was not uncommon for a composer to commission a work from another and then put his name on it.
The following statement appears in MELVYL on the composer's identity:
"Originally thought to have been composed by Mozart; later determined to have been composed by Johann Georg Lickl."
There are 17 entries in MELVYL showing Mozart as the composer and one showing Lickl as the composer.
I'm willing to upload my edition as being shown to be by Georg Lickl and I believe that it is a correct attribution, but before I make the necessary changes to my edition, do you have any advice which can give me some guidance on the matter?
Many thanks.

Re: Composer query
The quartet of Lickl is first published 1798 by Eder (compare http://haynes-catalog.net/works/show/17 ... -623639528). It also mentioned in
RISM (compare http://opac.rism.info/search?documentid=400057097). THere is no doubt, that it is not composed by Mozart.
