How to edit pieces that were uploaded with a previous username

I uploaded 2 pieces several years ago with a former user name/account that I subsequently changed. I am unable to log in with that previous account. I would like to re-upload improved versions of those pieces but cannot access the Edit page or the Upload New Version page. After trying to log in with my previous account I now can't even log in with my present account !
Ideally, I would prefer to do the new uploads from my present, active account and the old ones can be deleted. Is this a possibility ? Your administrators would need to do the deletion, I understand. Please tell me also how I can log in as I am presently blocked.
