Standardized colors for work navigation boxes

Wondering if this was a decent idea. I certainly irks me that
Mozart's symphonies are blue,
Beethoven's are green, and
Prokofiev's are yellow.

I suppose the question I should be asking is... Would anyone mind if I color-coded the boxes? :)

Would you standardize the colors based on the genre of the work or the composer's time period? I don't think you'll get anyone objecting to it so long as the colors aren't garish, the header and body colors don't clash, and you don't choose colors that have a negative effect on the legibility of the text (not enough contrast).
Found two links I was looking for:
light colors and
medium colors.

By genre, most likely.
