L'Angélus et les Pifferari does not alphabetize under "A" but L'âme d'un ange does. I can't see any difference in the pages to force a listing for the one but not the other, except that the apostrophe on L'Angélus is a curved one, not straight.

Is this it???

Yes, it will be the curly apostrophe that's causing the problem. It often happens when a title is pasted in from another source, and it just needs to be changed to a straight one.
