Can someone (Carolus?) please review the copyright status of Beethoven's Cello Sonata No.1? I found these excellent scans on one of these russian sites, where they mention Peters, but I found no plate number.
Thanks.

This is the edition by Walter Schulz (1893-1967). From this page (http://www.cello.org/Newsletter/Article ... etham1.htm ) it seems to be an Urtext edition. So this would fall under the German copyright term of 25y, correct?
I don't mean to answer for Carolus, but what you are saying seems to be true (i.e. it falls under the German publication+25 law). However, I think it is a good idea in such cases to indicate this in the "Misc. Notes" field of the file template so that this is clear
And by all means, correct me if I'm wrong Carolus (or affirmation if I'm right)
