While rummaging through my long-ignored prints this evening, I came across two items which might be candidates for IMSLP

(1) Cadman, Charles Wakefield (1881-1946). Four American Indian Songs (Boston: White-Smith Music Publ. Co., 1909).

(2) Schindler, Kurt (editor, 1882-1835). A Century of Russian Song (New York: Schirmer, 1911, (c) renewed 1939). -- The most recently deceased composer in the collection is Rachmaninoff.

Would these be okay to scan and upload? (The 2nd would be done according to individual composer.)

In a word, Yes.

The Cadman is free in the USA and Canada - probably in the EU as well because they practice rule of the shortter term for non-EU works.

The Schindler collection is free in the USA and Canada, and Rachmaninoff is for the most part free in the USA. (the only exceptions were not published by Schirmer, but Fischer and Charles Foley). He might be protected in the EU, though it is by no means clear. Dover reprints of his scores appear to be widely available in the EU, but that isn't an absolute guarantee of their PD status.

Upload away. We'll tag accordingly.
