Submit just a part of a piece

Post by BertEric »

Hi,

can I submit a (complete) part of a larger piece. Example: Krommer's Partita in F op.77 is not yet available in IMSLP. However I am working on a score of the first part Allegro Vivace for my own use. When ready I could submit this part and later the instrumental parts for the Allegro Vivace

There is certainly no problem with just submitting a single movement of a whole work. Better to have at least part of the work here than none of it at all!

I might add that having parts in separate movements is a very bad idea - unless the first movement is all you plan to submit for the foreseeable future.

With which source are you working? Can't you submit this entire source? A low-resolution scan is better than nothing. :-)
