Fauré - Quintets, pavane
Hi there,
I was wondering whether anyone has sheet music for Faurés quintets. I also recently heared his Pavane op. 50 being played by himself - a truly amazing rendition, so should anyone have such an adaptation, I will be much obliged.
Thanks!

Weinberg
I assume that Mieczysław Weinberg's work will not be public domain for a (long) time, but does anybody know where/how to order his sheet music? I'm not looking for anything in particular, but I've been listening to his cello, flute and clarinet concertos, and I'm really intrigued.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Vyvyan Ayrs
David Michell's 2004 novel Cloud Atlas has a character named Vyvyan Ayrs. He is an old crippled nearly-blind composer, living in Belgium (near Bruges). Because Mitchell's thorough research on the realistic parts of his novel, and the fact that Vyvyan has dealings with other composers (e.g. Edward El...

I did not imply that these qualities are inherent and necessarily present in 'great' sonatas. What makes something great, a classic as it were, has to do with both the adherence to and transcendance of norms, one could argue. But I am more interested in the personal experience of certain pieces that...

Mozart sonatas
Hi there,
Mozart seems to be many members' favorite composer. Which sonata, according to your knowledge, is the one with the most emotional and musical suspense?
Happy to know your thoughts,
Frederik

Yamaha B2
Hi, I have recently bought a Yamaha B2 piano, with which I am very happy. There is minor flaw though: c# (the one on the left of the middle C) sort of 'buzzes' when struck. I have noticed this on other Yamaha uprights as well, but those were old and not well-maintained; furthermore, they had the 'bu...
