Re: Name Favorite Chord
I've always been overly fond of a major chord with added tritone, e.g. D, F#, G#, A as it appears in my favorite occurrence of it in Mahler 6 just before the end of the first movement, 2 measures before rehearsal 45. Of course, here the G# resolves down to F#, which itself almost immediately changes...

Re: US Server Announcement: Projects Milhaud and Dupré
It seems the download links to all of the chamber symphonies with subtitles are getting cut off.

Re: Fanfares by Fanfare
Bump! With the advent of IMSLP·EU, we are now able to… uhh, link to the remainder of these little pieces , provided someone in the US uploads them to that server (Havergal Brian’s ‘ Fanfare from “The Grotesques” ’ has already made its way there) True enough, I did scan them all and can start upload...

Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
Meyerbeer: I've seen Garland facsimile reprints of the full scores of Prophete and Huguenots on library shelves. There may be others in the same series (I think Rossini's William Tell is one of them). Unless one of the major French collections or the Paris Opera posts the originals, these reprints ...

Re: Fleisher Collection
From my inquiries with them it seems that they are fine with coming into the library in person and making copies, but in order to get the parts and score sent you need to be an organization that is specifically intending to perform the piece to be sent. They do have an amazing collection of items th...

Re: [BUG] Sibley uploading error
Same here, tried with two different scores now with the same result. Retrying multiple times does not help. It seems that it worked for someone though as after I made the page for the work and tried multiple times and eventually gave up, several hours later someone else successfully uploaded the pdf...

Re: Meyerbeer Operas
I have been thinking of doing some full opera scores of Meyerbeer and perhaps Halevy as well, but my scanning is out of commission for a little while, I should get to them eventually though.

Re: Bloch symphonies
Sorry, sometimes I upload scores at work during short periods of downtime and forget about the forum threads. Glad you're enjoying though, I had never heard it until I spotted the score while browsing in the library and I'm glad I stumbled upon it.

I've got the first symphony that I've been meaning to upload for some time but haven't gotten around to it, will do so soon though.

Lyapunov Symphony No 2
I've previously uploaded his first symphony, and was curious if the second might be fair game as there are a number of indicators on the score that indicate it might not be, wouldn't want to scan this monster unless it will be unblocked. A preface by B. Yagolin (which I assume would not be PD) state...

Re: Bloch symphonies
That's what I figured, I did some checking and was unable to come up with any editions of the Israel Symphony from around the time of composition, only the 1925 or reprints of it, oh well.

Bloch symphonies
I'm looking at a reprint by Kalmus with corrections made directly on the score of Bloch's early Symphony in c# minor, published in the 1980s (or so the library says). Also the Israel Symphony published by G. Schirmer, also circa 1925. Despite those circa dates, I thought I'd check as both pieces wer...

I just did some digging out of my own curiosity as a trumpet player. The book The Documented image: visions in art history By Gabriel P. Weisberg: http://books.google.com/books?id=KHxTqU3XkXsC&lpg=PA176&ots=NIo7aSp_9Q&dq=satie%20sonneries%20trumpet%20harp&pg=PA176#v=onepage&q=sat...

Re: "IMSLP's biggest holes" - Most Wanted Scores
Some random items... Mussorgsky, Khovanshchina and Sorotchinsky Fair full scores (if Rimsky's and Cui's completions were issued pre 1923 - I assume they must have been) PML I have access to an edition put out by Muzyka in 1973 of R-K's completion of Khovanshchina, if this is actually PD I could get...
