1. don't call it a "song" ... I don't mean to be snotty, but if you want to avoid being judged by the snotty, use the word "song" only for works/pieces that involve a piano and vocalist (or sometimes some other instrument) 2. I could be totally wrong but the youtube recording sou...

Moro lasso by Carlo Gesualdo is of course rather odd just inherently (what with it's dissonances, borrowed chords, enigmatic cadences coupled with little proto-baroque motives) , but even more so for when it was written ... the 16th century
