Well, you can put it in a frame, but then the return link will be in that frame as well (unless, of course, you don't mind paying Google money to use their custom search thingy). I think the current setup is probably the best we can do with free Google.

In the latest round of whack-the-mole, the gradient is now fine (I don't know what happened), but the header lines with large fonts are now overlapping each other in both Chrome and Opera (if not others).

One question: the background gradient color looks different for the "A" compared to the rest of the header; is that intentional?

Actually, you can indeed try and see if you can make it better. There are various sites on the net that will allow you to create such buttons, though I have yet to find a good one (that doesn't charge money). Icactus, is it possible to specify several fallback fonts (like the accordion)? I was looking at the page on Firefox in linux and the system doesn't have the font you specify (I see Arial).
