Under the sky of Paris
I saw this piece on the recordinglist, recognized the title, but it' s always possible that 2 (or more) different pieces have the same name. But now it appears this is the piece I know (the melody) and I was almost certain it was still copyrighted, so I searched for information. Is 't possible/allow...

Albert Pieczonka
It looks like I made a mess of the page by Albert Pieczonka. I wanted to move the polonaise to a workpage called "Danses the Salon" because it is part of that collection and I wanted to add the "famous" tarantella. I thought to know how to move a page, but apparently I'm not that...

Re: Paperless IMSLP hardware
Never heard of the Strad, but maybe that's because I live in Europe.
I've found an article where musicians use a footswitch too together with the scores from IMSLP.
Here it is: http://www.squidoo.com/footime-page-turner

Maybe this one will work too: http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/ ... /index.htm. It's based on the Adobe Acrobat Reader and made by a yamaha keyboard player.

Another one: http://virtmus.com/ (software based)
Een programmable footswitch is for example the VEC Infinity USB footpedal connected to your laptop, together with the free available software http://www.nch.com.au/footpedal/index.html and/or http://www.autohotkey.com/.

Re: Recommendations for a pdf / sheet music editor
If you tried the Gimp and it does do what you want than I don't see why you want to use MuseScore or Lilypond. MuseScore and Lilypond are programs voor new typesets and that's different from editing an already available pdf file scanned from real sheet music consisting of images. I don't know if it ...

Re: Recommendations for a pdf / sheet music editor
You could use the Gimp (see http://www.gimp.org/) for graphics or for example Musescore (see http://musescore.org/) or Lilypond (see http://lilypond.org/) for new typesets. They are all free.

Re: Emmett
Thanks @KGill. Looking at the description what's needed to rename a composer, I'm glad you did it.

Emmett
See:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Emment,_Daniel_Decatur
It looks like the naming of this composer is wrong, but I don't know how to correct this. The last name is written as 'Emment' in stead of 'Emmett'.

tags
Hello,
Do we as users need to add the tags now? I'm asking because I saw that some new pages didn't get tags after reviewing and
because the tags are visible (and maybe even editable by users?) in the general information part now instead of at
the bottom of the page.

Re: How to Edit Work's Title On Composer's Page
Also, should there be a space between Op. and the number? No space between Op. and the number, so you will get for example: Op.412 Op.7 and so on. On the composer page for example: Sonata in G, Op.412 Violin Piece, Op.5 So only a space between the comma and 'Op.' If you want some more information, ...

Re: How to make students love piano?
Get them playing chamber music with other students, ideally of the opposite sex and roughly the same age. Works every time! that's a very good idea, I will try it, but still, beguiners are still the main problem, they are the one who need to like it, and they cannot play chamber music yet...
