Absolutely incredible to have a full set of parts for a work like this, thank you! Uirapuru as well.

Everything has been moved over to the new category you made.

Re: Can't add a new edition

Have you tried going to the dropdown in the upper-right corner of your category page to redo the formal association of it with your user account?

ETA: I see you've been adding new stuff since this post was made, so I guess this was resolved, never mind.

Re: copyrighted file

It's more likely that the uploader lied the publication year so that it wouldn't be deleted. There's no need to attribute to malice what could easily be a mistake. In any case, you are indeed correct that this was published in 2002 and I've blocked the file accordingly. Ordinarily I'd say it should...

Re: Giovanni Rovetta transcription

FYI, this sounds like it could have been an issue of the page's cache not updating. To manually force a cache update, you can go to edit the page, then change the URL to replace the word "edit" at the end with "purge" and hit enter. So for example, on https://imslp.org/wiki/Sanct...

Re: Upcoming changes

I do realise that at a time like Covid, everyone seems to need more money. Which brings me to the topic of people who have none. How are you supposed to pay for IMSLP if you have no home? What if you are a homeless person who wants to download music from the local public library on an account that ...

Re: PDF from BNF

What you're doing is exactly right, actually. There's no violation of any regulation, and we prefer at IMSLP to avoid inclusion of these added pages because they often imply, at least for the casual reader, some sort of copyright claim by the library on their scan.

Re: About copyright

A little more information is needed in order to determine with confidence whether they are OK to post on IMSLP. All three are probably under copyright in the US, I can tell you. 1. Who arranged the Bach for flute and piano? 2. Is there an editor listed for the Jeanjean? The possibility is suggested ...

Re: Scans must be Public Domain

That's pretty much what it means for our purposes, even if MDZ might disagree. The usual practice on IMSLP for this kind of thing is to upload simply as public domain while always making sure to credit the scanner; see http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Scores_from_Bayerische_Staatsbibliothek for instan...

Re: Scans must be Public Domain

If this scan is simply a photographic reproduction of the source, it is not copyrightable under a CC or any other license in most places---look up "sweat of the brow". (I'm assuming the piece itself is in the public domain.)

John, have you tried downloading it and opening outside of your browser? For example, on my machine PDF.js displays every page as a huge black box, but MuPDF shows it perfectly fine.

Re: Upcoming changes

IMSLP is purely a technical platform. It does not need a single person to be paid to do anything, unless, or until, the copyright issues become a central tenet of its operation. Even so, that has already been dealt with, and volunteer members have picked up that slack, calling themselves "Copy...
