Wellington March - Wilhelm Zehle
Wellington March was written in 1906 by Wilhelm Zehle, who died in 1956. I'm not exactly sure, but I think that means his works would be in the public domain in the U.S. Would it be possible to upload the score and parts to the famous march by Zehle?

In that case do you know where the full score and parts might be purchased?

Till Eulenspiegels Lustige Streiche
Doubtless many of you have heard Richard Strauss famous tone poem "Till Eulenspiegels Lustige Streiche". As you probably know, having heard it, it portrays the whimsical adventures of the prankster Till Eulenspiegel as he travels throughout the countryside causing mayhem, mocking his elder...

The Warriors
I realize that Grainger has been discussed by this community since its conception and that the general conclusion reached was that his works were not PD. However, I have reason to believe, based on perusing the discussions in these threads and a little research that the original full orchestra score...

Lola Flores - Pasodoble
There's a wonderful Pasodoble by the name of "Lola Flores", written in 1966 by Alfred Sadel and Terig Tucci and arranged for band by John Krance that seems almost impossible to find references to anywhere. I'm looking for a place where I could purchase the full score for the piece but afte...

Horn - Playing Tips
I'm a french horn player (or more properly, a horn player). For one of our concerts this year (in about a month and a half) we're playing Sleigh Ride and A Christmas Festival Overture , both by Leroy Anderson. Does anybody (preferably a horn player) have any helpful tips for playing these two pieces?

Re: Arrangements You Have Made
It was transcribed to orchestra by Gordon Jacob under the title "A Hampshire Suite". But that's not to say another one can't be made. You're right. There are often multiple arrangements/transcriptions of classical pieces, each varying slightly. The instrumentation of mine will be differen...

Fugues
I'm an amateur composer, and I'm experimenting with various musical styles. I've been trying, unsuccessfully so far, to write a fugue. I've tried with a saxophone quartet and clarinet quartet, but I'm open to all kinds of different ensembles. What I'd really like to have is more information about fu...

Re: Arrangements You Have Made
Let's see... I'm attempting to arrange Holst's "Second Suite in F for Military Band" for a full orchestra, mainly because I adore the rich, resonant sound of the full orchestra. I was inspired by the orchestral arrangement of Vaughan Williams' "English Folk Song Suite", which uti...

Re: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini: transpositions?
I agree with horndude. Accidentals are definitely preferable to key signatures. I see the convenience of key signatures, but it's almost impossible to miss notes when you don't have to remember the sharps or flats in the key. Also, speaking of Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, why is it blocked on IM...

Re: Best composition of a movie scene?
John Williams is hard to beat. His "bombastic fantasy music" definitely ranks 1st place for me. If I had to name a 2nd place though it would be the music from the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. The soundtracks from the 2nd two movies are better I think, because the 1st movie's soundtrac...
