Re: Discrepancies in scores of Brucker motets
Dear Alexander, I am not sure whether you are there after two years, but your scores definitely are. Thank you for checking and correcting them. I wrote my posts at the time when I had no access to any authoritative editions, and since I have been doing arrangements, I needed to check every note, so...

Re: Discrepancies in scores of Bruckner motets
I decided to post again the list of questions about Bruckner motets: Virga Jesse bar 48 alto: C flat or C natural? Virga Jesse bar 70 bass: G or G sharp? In jener letzen der Nachte bar 21 tenor, the last note in the bar: C or B flat? Vier Tantum ergo, revised ed. (1888), Tantum ergo I in B flat majo...

Discrepancies in scores of Brucker motets
I have found at least 4 errors in the scores of Bruckner motets which reappear again and again even in most recent scores provided by Alexander Reuter for IMSLP and claimed to be based on manuscript sources. The first three are not even mentioned in Nowak's Revisionbericht, which discusses differenc...

Re: Bruckner Virga Jesse Bar 70
I have just obtained Kleinekirchemusikwerke Revisionsbericht (critical comments). Curiously, while discussing autograph sources and first editions, Nowak does not mention the discrepancy at all. So it seems that the sharp disappeared after the first edition...

Re: Bruckner Virga Jesse Bar 70
There must be some misunderstanding here. The bass part in bar 70 in the manuscript looks to me like that: A natural A natural - G sharp G sharp. The question is not about A's but about G's. Most scores on the Internet omit the sharp sign. I cannot help clearly seeing the sharp sign (#) in the manus...

Bruckner Virga Jesse Bar 70
I am wondering why all the scores of Virga Jesse in IMSLP and elsewhere miss the sharp in bass in the last measure of bar 70 before the two Gs. Even Alexander Reuter's score which is claimed to be derived from the manuscript does not have the sharp. And yet the sharp is there in the manuscript.
