Carl Loewe Symphonies

Post by JimL »

The finale of the Loewe Symphony No. 1 in D minor is Adagio espressivo - Allegro. Is there any chance of obtaining the score of the 2nd Symphony in E minor?

I've only seen mention of it from a Loewe society which mentioned a performance. Not sure where to get more info though. Ah! Loewe symphony in E minor (1834- not 1832!!) in an edition by Cord Garben, published in 2018, listed @ Worldcat - here :) Also available @ Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (not digitized, not a surprise after all, but maybe email Garben or BSB...)

I have at least obtained the movement information from Columbia University Library, which has the score available. They are:

I. Larghetto - Allegro
II. Larghetto
III. Scherzo: Allegro molto
IV. Allegro non tanto
